For the installation “Echoscope 2,” the mirrors of the teleidoscope, and the aleatoric fractal shapes that emerge echo myriad atavistic forms and unimaginable potential future iterations of seeds and flowers. These invite the viewer/collaborator to witness these marvelously varied elements snapping into sharper focus.
Utilizing willows hand-harvested from wild riparian areas and carefully woven; flowers grown and pressed — this work aims to cultivate awareness, encourage an internal dialog, and instill a creative mindfulness that an immersion into these bio-elements and their contrasting industrial-material counterparts can elicit.
