Microbes found in fermentation processes reveal multiple modes of transformation. These microbes are beneficial to the human body and model a process for maintaining healthy, symbiotic relationships that are collaborative, fluid, and generative. What societal changes could take place if we modeled our behavior after these microbes? Using microbiology to cultivate a radically different future diverging from anthropocentrism, I invite community members to ferment with me at this kitchen table, taking part in the transformation of nourishing food while building relationships. These sessions will culminate in a shared, community meal where all of the ferments will be enjoyed.
